LMC/QUALMEC provided the design, fabrication and installation of the flue gas breaching from three existing 350MW boilers to a new fluid gas scrubber.

• Fabrication and installation of over 1800ft of 21ft diameter breaching.
• Installation of six new "TLT Covent" ID fans.
• Demolition of modifications to existing breaching.

Alstom / Duke Power

LMC/QUALMEC was awarded a contract by Alstom Power and Duke Power for the supply of all supervision, labour, tools, inspection and services for the complete overhaul of an Alstom Power GT 2427 gas turbine, generator and HRSG Boiler.

The main elements of this project were as follows:

• Complete disassembly of the GT Turbine.
• Complete re-blading of the turbine rotor.
• Disassembly of the generator and complete inspection.
• Overhaul of the boiler feedwater pumps.
• Overhaul and modification of the air intake filterhouse to install additional coalescent filters.
• Inspection and repairs to the HRSG.
• Complete reassembly and alignment
• On all occasions the work was performed on time and under budget and our customers were very pleased with LMC/QUALMEC's performance.
